Dotance (“we”, “us”) is a WordPress and WooCommerce development agency. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

• Enquiry details. When you use a form on this site: your name, email address, and optionally your company, website URL, budget range, timeline and whatever you write in the message field.
• Technical data. Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — retained for security and troubleshooting.
• Analytics. name the analytics tool you use, e.g. Google Analytics 4 / Plausible / Fathom and whether it collects data in an identifiable form.

We do not collect payment details through this website, and we do not ask for special-category data.

• To reply to your enquiry. Lawful basis: your consent, given when you tick the box on the form.
• To keep the site secure and working. Lawful basis: legitimate interests — running a website that is not being abused.
• To understand how the site is used. Lawful basis: consent if analytics uses cookies, otherwise legitimate interests.

We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you sent an enquiry.

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after add retention period, e.g. 12 months. Records relating to work we actually carried out are kept for add retention period, e.g. 7 years to meet accounting and contractual obligations. Server logs are kept for add retention period, e.g. 30 days.

We use a small number of processors to run the business. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job.

Where a processor is outside add your jurisdiction, e.g. the UK/EEA, transfers are covered by add the safeguard used, e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses.

Describe the cookies this site actually sets. At the time of writing this site sets no marketing or advertising cookies. If you add analytics, a chat widget or embedded video, list them here and put a consent banner in place before they load.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Have your data deleted
• Object to or restrict how we use it
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what happened before you withdrew it
• Ask for your data in a portable format

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on systems protected by access control and two-factor authentication. Access is limited to the people who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your data and puts you at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authority within the timeframes the law requires.

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page and, where the change affects how we use data you already gave us, contact you directly.
